I Wonder...

Hey Everyone,

So I've been thinking these days, why do I write in this blog? I think to me it's a way for me to express how I'm feeling each day and the struggles I go through. Over the past seven months, you've seen me go from having the structure in which I told you all what I did at each hour and for how long and as you all know, it was boring and basically a snooze fest to read. However, upon bringing my blog over to Salon.com, I was challenged by the lovely people at Salon to break free of the constraints of my structured writing and just make the sky the limit. So that's what I did.

Now, because I've broken free, I can express whatever I'm feeling. Disappointment, happiness, boredom, anger (which I rarely express :P), or anything else on the rainbow of emotions. But one thing I've come to realize and understand is that I'm actually quite good at this writing thing. Thanks to a certain writer on Salon, my blog was submitted as an editor's pick, and he even showcased me on his own blog which I am deeply appreciative for. I also have picked up over 2,250 views on Blogspot, and over 1800 views on Salon, so in total, over 4000 views. I truly am thankful for my faithful readers because without you, there would be no reason to continue my blogging. I hope you will see me through the next several months of blogging as I plan to end this blog when I reach a year of posts on Salon, which should fall around January. This means to my readers on Blogspot that you still get me for another 8 months, which is four more than I was originally planning as I had intentionally planned for just a year on Blogspot (which would have finished in September). However, since I couldn't let myself just stop after only 8 months on Salon, I have decided to end this blog on January 3, 2011. I just felt I needed to insert these two paragraphs so you know. And yes, I do realize I repeated myself about continuing the blog twice :P.

My day itself was relatively uneventful. I worked with Chris as always, which we basically just finished up Night at the Museum and moved on to watching Bewitched (the Nicole Kidman film). It's kind of funny that I like this film, especially since the connection between Kidman and Ferrell is absolutely atrocious and it's no wonder they won a Razzie award for worst film couple the year this was released (I think it was 2006 or 07?). But oddly enough, I still enjoy it just because it's that bad, and also because I love both Nicole Kidman and Kristin Chenowith who co-stars in this movie. By the way, if someone ever tells you they're a witch, don't EVER tell them in response you're a "clippers fan". Just saying :P

Anyway, aside from that it was a pretty laid back day. I had some dinner, played some Assassin's Creed and yeah, that's about it. The autism thing was my repeating above, basically me lingering on a topic, and therefore going around in circles.

That's all folks!

Man I'm Getting Behind

Hey Everyone!

I apologize for constantly getting behind in these posts, but that's exams for you. Anyway it was a pretty boring day yesterday anyway. Work, which we just watched more of Dreamgirls, and then me studying for most of the rest of the night. The good news though was that Desperate Housewives was back so I at least got to see that. It was quite a shocker of an episode too.

Autism-wise, I think the only thing that really happened was me staying on the topic of Housewives too long and not knowing when I needed to stop.

Sorry for the short post!

Why? (It's just a question referring to the Chris time topic)

Hey Everyone!

So today, another dull day. It consisted basically of more studying, working with Chris, watching PS I Love You, and tutoring my neighbour again. Oh and trying to decide what video game to play because I for the life of me couldn't stick with one.

With Chris, the odd thing was I don't know if he had a good time, despite him saying that. Today he wound up asking me what time it was and when we would leave every five minutes, and at one point, within 40 seconds of asking. I really don't know if he doesn't compute time in his head, because it's just five minutes after asking it's like he doesn't even remember asking me. I don't know if this is autism, memory loss, or something else :S. Though with him, his big autistic thing is remembering obscure facts about movies and when movies are being released. As you know with autistic people (well, some may know, some may not) often are really good at knowing one thing, and it seems with movies, he knows a lot.

As for me, in case you can't tell for one thing, my big thing is video games, but more importantly I can call back things from over fifteen years ago out of the blue. So I have great memory...I just wish I could apply it to my tests :P. Oh and the only other good note is that I did really well for my music class. So now I'm just waiting on my marks for Clinical, Research, and Speech (though Speech will be amazingly high because of how well I did in most of my speeches) :).

Anyway, Night Everyone!

What is One Grain of Sand in the Desert? What is One Grain of Sand in a Storm?

Hey Everyone!

Sorry about missing yesterday, my fault, totally forgot about posting the entire day despite having talked to my grandfather about the blog. Go figure. Anyway, it was a relatively simple day actually. I studied a bit, read a bit, played some video games, and studied some more. I cannot WAIT for school to be over, though I haven't decided if I will or will not do the class as I wouldn't mind having a full summer :P.

Aside from the studying, and gaming and everything, I just tutored my neighbour again and he seems to be doing fairly well with everything. He isn't that bad at English like his mother thinks, he just needs to give himself time. That's basically everything there is to say. My only "autistic" thing is that I worry about possibly insulting his writing when I'm editing it for him. But I suppose that's just how it goes.

Night Everyone!

Oops...

Sorry I've been getting so behind in my blogs. With exams this week it's just been hard to keep up. I apologize greatly for doing this and I'll try to keep up again next week! (I will post this week, I'm just letting everyone know)

Wednesday was a relatively boring day. All that happened was me sleeping till 3PM, and then studied for quite a while since my exam is next Tuesday :(. I then just had fun playing Prince of Persia. I wish I could say my day was exciting, but it just wasn't. I think only thing that happened autism-wise was me being unable to know how to properly tutor the Grade 9 student next door in English as I didn't want to insult him or anything along those lines so I had to be wary of how to teach him.

That's all folks,

Sorry for Being Sorry

Hey Everyone!

So I didn't do my post yesterday due to exhaustion on my part. I had woken up at 8AM on Sunday and headed to final dress rehearsal at the UCC at 9AM for the play. I then headed back to the house for a short time until the Fashion Show shoot which I still felt odd about being in a tank top as I'm not like super fit or anything. After that I had students council which was the USC Presidential debate, and then finally followed dby a LONG LONG LONG play practice. The directors have decided to make practice 6:30-11 now which is freaking ridiculous no matter how much practice they thing we need, it is still completely ridiculous.

Today on the other hand, I woke at 12PM and quickly went to Kings to do some business that needed...doing, and then headed back home for a bit. At 2:30PM my parents and I went out shopping and had dinner, and then just headed back home. Around 6:30PM I headed to speech class which I'll be doing my speech on the Monday after reading week. Then at 8:30PM I headed to the UCC as it was time for the production. We went on at 10PM and it went wonderfully, and now I'm home and just relaxing after a good day's work.

I only had autism related things when I was with my parents and kept talking despite the fact I knew I could of just cut it short. But oh well.

That's all for today!

Improv Insanity

Hey Everyone!

I woke up at 12PM and had my usual shower and then hopped a cab to Masonville as I had to pick up a wife beater shirt for the Fashion Show photo shoot tomorrow. I then got my hair cut too for the same reason and then hopped a cab back to the UCC for play rehearsal.

When I got to the UCC, play rehearsal went really well. I actually have all my lines memorized I now just need to work on not sounding like a stand up comic but sounding like I'm joking with a friend.

Following this, one of my co-stars Joel drove me home and we discussed the annoying elections of the University Students Council President election. I don't really know why this whole thing annoys me, but probably because each UWO President generally has never works on producing anything they promise so really, how can we trust them?

Once I got dropped off, I headed to the Improv show which went really well and was so much fun.

After that I headed home and here I am, 3AM, I have to be up for dress rehearsal at 8AM, so I'm basically...screwed.

Night Everyone!

This is the Night

Hey Everyone!

So I woke up at 12PM and just did my usual showering and everything. I then headed over at about 3:15PM to learn how to edit the new King's Students Council website. Following this I then headed over to Lauren's for the start of the party.

We went to Milestones Grill and Bar for dinner which was really nice and I paid for Lauren's meal as it was her birthday party. We then headed back to Lauren's for a pre-drink where Lauren got slightly drunk.

Around 9:30PM the limo arrived, the first limo I'd ever been in and it was amazing! So much fun, it took us to the UP on Carling bar which was also not bad and Lauren just got completely drunk. It was interesting to watch, and if she's reading this, you know I still love ya hun!

Anyway, now that that's done and over with I'm back home and just watching some television trying to wind down.

Autistic-wise, probably only thing that happened was I was socially awkward at the bar, I basically withdrew to the couches and just went on MSN on my cell phone because it was all so overwhelming basically.

Night all!

Dancing Queen

Hey Everyone!

So to begin with, yes I've returned to my old format but it's just so hard for me to stick to any other format than that. But I suppose that's just my autism for you really, I have no control over that particular aspect. Or should I say, I do but don't bother worrying about it too much.

I woke up at 1PM and was planning to get up as I had a meeting at 2PM but then it got cancelled. So I decided to head back to bed, however then I talked with my Mom a bit and then just studied some more before my exam.

I headed to my exam at 3:30PM and I think it was not too bad, I finished at 5 and headed back to my place where I just watched some TV until 10PM when I headed to King's Players.

When I got there I found out I was going to be in the Improv show on Saturday. We then learned some more techniques for improvisation and then headed to Christina's Pub.

I then got home and here I am.

As you can see my only autistic thing was that of my returning to my usual structure of my blog.

Night All!

Memory, All Alone in the Moonlight

Hey Everyone!

I'm sorry for not posting last night. I had been up ALL night Monday night and so when I got home last night I just headed right to bed. It was a normal day yesterday with staying up all night, heading to Masonville to pick up some things, writing my Clinical Psychology midterm, and performing my Music solo.

Today I woke up at 10PM after ten hours of sleep. I got up and had breakfast. I then worked all day on my research idea which I hope is okay, but we'll see. I then headed to class at 5:30 and learned about testing validity. Afterwards I headed to main campus for play rehearsal that lasted until 11:30PM so I had to get Western Foot Patrol to walk me back to King's so I could stay at my friend's place. I also hung out with the girls upstairs and apparently I'm just funny as hell because whenever talking to them I crack them up till they're on the floor laughing.

I'd say the biggest/only thing that happened autism-wise was that I consistently apologized to my director so often it probably ticked him off more than me adding a word to my lines once in a while.

Sorry for the short post despite two days worth of material!

Night all!

Question Authority

Hi Everyone!

So today was a relatively short day starting with heading up to the UWO bookstore to look for a tape that I needed for class which unfortunately they were sold out of, followed with a music lesson.

While later in the day we had a few speeches about Free Speech, Questioning Authority, Love as a Battlefield, that's not the actual title but it's about how people wind up building up ammo against one another in relationships. As well, we learned about Kettlebells which is apparently a fast acting weight loss exercise dumbbell it's just not a dumbbell with evenly distributed weight, it's all focused in the bell and the motion makes you raise your endurance and increase strength. I may look into it as it apparently really does have fast acting as long as you aren't drastically overweight which I'm not.

Anyway, probably only autism-related thing was I wouldn't let some topics go and had to keep adding on to comments I made to the speeches. Finally I just had to stop when they said it's time to move on to the next speech...oops.

Night all,
Sean

Busy, Busy, Busy

Hey Everyone!

So today was one of the busiest days at the start of a really busy week. I swear, starting with a 11AM run through of my place I went nuts at getting up kind of early after getting to bed around 5AM. Play rehearsal went okay except at times I seriously am at times stumbling with my lines. I need to get this memorized soon, but with everything that happened this past week, my memorization only went so well. Plus, due to lack of sleep caused by overstimulation of my brain, I wound up late for said practice, but thankfully only by five minutes. It was probably the quickest I've ever gotten ready, had my shower, dressed, took a cab, and got there only ten minutes after I got up.

When I returned home I found that my friend had actually done quite a good job at cleaning the house, which she hadn't been doing the best job of prior to today. But now the kitchen feels so freaking empty as her roommate has taken a lot of his stuff.

My day ended with Fashion Show practice which was just constant walking. And then play rehearsal for the King's Drama group.

So that's a night now!

Tick Tock

Hey Everyone!

So today's day was a rather annoying as I had to keep getting up from bed when Varsity Rentals was showing my friend's place. Thing is, she's getting pretty pissed off about it because she's told the landlord she is staying and the law is that one cannot be evicted unless they've damaged property, caused dangerous problems for roommates or landlord, was consistently late paying rent, OR the landlord would have to use the house for a caregiver of a family member or a family member. In this case, it's none of these therefore the landlord can't evict my friend.

Aside from all this landlord nuisance, my day was pretty dull. It consisted primarily of studying my lines for the Purple Shorts play as I have a full run through tomorrow.

Other than that I suppose the only autistic-related thing that happened was the fact that I actually got on my friend's friend's case for drinking my apple juice. I mean for heavens sake, he's leaving the house and while we said we'd share food at times...now that he's leaving why should he be allowed to use my food or drink? I don't really think it's very fair.

Thanks for listening everyone!

Combo Day!

Hello everyone!

One thing, I just noticed it was posted on Thursday even though I posted it at like 10PM on Friday evening. But I suppose things like that happen on this site :P.

So I apologize for my lateness in my postings today and yesterday. It's been a busy type of day. Autism was sort of full blown the past two days both in my constant blaming myself, bringing up the same topic every five minutes despite having left it earlier. It's kind of a common thing for me because I just don't want to simply drop a topic until I've said every last think I can say about it.

Yesterday was mainly about buying clothes for the ceremony which I wound up not going to..., feeling slightly sick from staying up all night because of what I had found out about my friend Dan, whom I made a video of and his brother-in-law and sister asked to use it for Friday's ceremony. I wasn't able to attend the ceremony due to personal reasons that I don't wish to explain, but it was unfortunate.

As for today, quite boring up until 4 when I headed out with Lauren and our friend Tricia for dinner and movie. It was quite enjoyable as we saw Leap Year. Another good love story and romantic-comedy.

I can't really say much else but I'll keep everyone updated with my life :).

The Day You Slipped Away

Hey so how was my day you might ask? It's quite simple, lame as anything. Whether waking up from a phone call at 12PM to dealing with my friend's landlord, it was anything but not exciting.

Class happened at 5:30 and was quite boring because all we learned about was measurements for Psychology Research. Following this class I went home and chatted with my mother a bit and now watching television.

Autism-wise, I was also just worried I was stressing my friend Lauren out with some matters that I can't discuss on here, which was pretty silly.

However, there was one thing that happened tonight after I posted this. I found out that a friend both Lauren and I had...had passed away. We found out from his best friend and he was only 25...I only knew him for a short while. Sure lots of talking on MSN but Lauren and I only met him in person once, but he was one of those people who you can't help but call your friends even if you hang with them for one day. If any of my friends reading this are wondering why they haven't heard of him before it was because while he was a really good person, I have a lot of friends and acquaintances so it's sometimes difficult to talk about all of them and since he didn't go to Kings or Western like most of my friends, he went to Fanshawe, so I never really had to bring him up. However, I'm still pretty sad about this as this has been the first friend I've ever really lost permanently. Not someone who just drifted away because of going to different schools or just different interests, but one I'm never actually going to see again.

I Am Changing

So I'm going to try and change it up today. I am actually kinda tired of using the same thing over and over again. Yes I got up at 1PM like usual however I'm not going to give you a chronological detailed post about my whole day.

Learning about Clinical Psychology (my first class of the day) is definitely interesting, especially when our guest speaker arrived. We got to hear about what she does for a living, which included helping teens who are going through psychological issues including both suicide and even hearing voices in one's head. I found her an extremely interesting guest speaker and definitely wouldn't have passed that class up.

For Vocal Music class I got a chance to sing my solo, just 8 measures, and then listened to other people. Many people, including myself, need work, though some more than others but not trying to be rude. I've had ten years of professional singing training so hopefully that entitles me to critiquing without sounding like a jerk. I then found my partner, Jessica, for the ensemble piece we have to do from class. I suggested True Colours though we may do something from musical theatre which could just be as good. We even joked about doing a duet of Popular from the Broadway smash hit, Wicked. :P

As for autism today, it was a matter that I swear I thought I was bothering the girl I sat next to in music class as it seemed like I was annoying her. Hopefully not, but yeah that was the only thing :P

Have a great night everyone, and I hope you liked the format of this post.

Gimme a Break

Hey Everyone!

So I woke up today around 1PM and did my usual prepping for the day. At 4:10PM I headed up to main campus for a music lesson, and while I was early, I got the chance to practice with my accompanist.

Following this I headed back to Kings for my Speech class, starting with my classic rhetoric test. It was quite a short lasting test and I finished in twenty minutes because it was basically based on the sheet we had been given so it was mainly a memorizing sort of test.

During speech class, we finished the monologues with me finding out I got 90% on my monologue last week! We also then talked about our next speeches which were going to be persuasive speeches. We then told some speeches to get people emotionally invested, but they were so depressing that it just drained my energy from me...

I then went over to Lauren's for a bit and just chatted about some things. And then headed home where I am now.

Autism-wise I think the only thing that happened was I let the influence of television and internet keep my brain over-stimulated. Hence I got to bed at 5AM which is why I'm so tired right now.

But anyway,
Night all!

Hold Your Dreams, Don't Ever Let It Go

Hey Everyone!

So I got up at 9AM and had my usual shower. Following said shower, I got ready to head to London as I had a LOT to do today.

At 10:30 my parents took me to London and at 12PM I had my Acting workshop. We learned a lot about facial and body expressions. We also learned about pretending to have an emotion we didn't have, such as insincerity which I tend to overplay it a little...

After the workshop, I had practice for Purple Shorts. This one went till five o' clock because we got locked out of the room for around an hour or so. I think I'm getting there but I need to still work on being off-book and not over expressive.

Once practice was done I headed to Students council at 6:30PM. While there was ONE specific motion I wanted revoked I won't really know how that went since I left early.

After council, I headed home and waited for Desperate Housewives, however turns out it was a repeat because of football tonight.

Autism-wise, I got worked up because it was such a long day. It took quite a bit of time for me to calm down because I had so much stimulation during the day.

That's all for tonight!

This is What Dreams Are Made Of

Hey Everyone!

Okay so what happened today...hmm. I woke up at 11AM and headed to the shower as usual and then headed out at 12PM to pick up Chris. I took him to Wendy's again, and then we headed to the mall. While there I got our movie tickets to The Tooth Fairy while he went to the bookstore to look around. When I went to get him, as usual I found him in the baby/toddler/children books section. (We're talking Dora the Explorer, and the ten page cartoon books of different movies). So then I took him with me when he was finished back to the theatre and we went in to see The Tooth Fairy.

The movie was actually really good, and while the critics hated it, if you have kids I'd definitely take them to see it, and you might even like it too. Myself, I love movies like that so I didn't mind one bit seeing it.

After the movie I took Chris to Rogers to drop off the movies I rented, and then took him home. I then headed up to Scotiabank to do some financial business and yeah, turns out they're closed on Saturdays unlike TD Canada Trust. (And no, it wasn't after hours, they're actually closed Saturdays -_-).

ANYWAY, I headed home and watched television, played Kingdom Hearts 2, and now I'm watching Ice Princess :P. I also found out I got the position of Website Commissioner on Students Council!

That's all for tonight!

Scotty Doesn't Know, so Don't Tell Scotty!

Hey Everyone!

Short day today for the blog so everyone knows. I woke up at 1PM though I wound up sleeping actually till 2PM. I had my usual shower and then headed downstairs to watch television until close to 4PM.

I picked up Chris at 4PM and headed to Wendy's with Chris. We then went to Pinafore Park, then followed it by going to my house to watch FAME.

After work, I headed home to have dinner (Pot Roast with Mashed Potatoes), and played Avatar The Game. I have to say, for such a fantastic movie, they created quite a horrible game. You wind up dying in a battle with a soldier just because of the guns, its pretty pathetic you can die so easily in around five seconds. Now here I am, watching Eurotrip.

Autism-wise, the only thing that really happened was my disruption of sleep today. My brain stayed active till around 5am and as a result couldn't relax so that I could get to sleep. Obviously it was unfortunate because it just sucks not being able to get to sleep. The only good thing, was that I didn't have to get up until around 2. It sucks though because tomorrow I need to be up for 12PM (meaning 10AM wake up) as I'm taking Chris to see The Tooth Fairy.

Night all!
Sean

PS: Oh and unfortunately I still don't know yet if I got Students Council yet so I'm still waiting....
